No, not the band! Just the cards that we submitted to The Angel Company for consideration in the catalog that didn’t make it in. I actually found all seven that I submitted on the sample boards at seminar so I was happy o know that they weren’t just tossed!
A few of them I know didn’t get selected because they decided to retire the set that I used. I won’t post those here, but here are the rest.
Enjoy!

All Papers and Stamps are from The Angel Company and you can find them available for purchase on my TAC site.
Be sure to check out these other Angels beautiful “loosers” on their blogs as well!

We had the pleasure of stamping off images from the new sets in the catalog in between classes & lectures at The Angel Company seminar last week. This one new set, Barrel Monkeys, was dubbed “‘Those Creepy Monkeys” by us, but we samped them off anyway hoping that we could do something with them…

We were also given a couple of mini album kits so I thought I would use one of them to create this mini birthday themed album.

As I got to working with the images and colored them in I started thinking “Hey! They’re actually not so bad, in fact, they’re kinda cute!”

Maybe it was just the blank stares the monkeys seemed to have when they were just outlined?

Maybe it’s cause they’re nekid except for gloves & shoes?

I dunno, but I’m glad I gave them a chance and hope that you will too!

I used Palette Burnt Unber ink to stamp the images, watercolor pencils and a blender pen to color them in. The patterned papers are from the Cha Cha SWIC and so is the cardstock. The ribbons are from the Black & White ribbon collection.
Happy Crafting!

Yes, I’m still at seminar, but the new catalog was just released this morning! My shopping site will be down while they load all the new goodies onto it so please be sure to check back there July 1st to see all the new offerings!!!
While at seminar, I am rooming with 3 other wonderful angels

so I thought I’d bring them each a little handmade gift!

While I was at it I made a 4th one to give to my up-upline Heather to thank her for all the wonderful encouragement and inspiration she gives us!

Stamps used are from TAC’s Tag Tidbits set

and the papers used are from TAC’s retired Bella Flora SWIC

And since you can never have enough chocolate, I also gave them another little package containing a couple more Hershey’s Nuggets!

I sure hope they like them!

See you in a few days with some new inspiration!

I’m at seminar with the rest of my Angel Company demo friends but thought I’d leave you all something new to look at!
We were each given a chipboard heart to decorate in our own unique style to bring to seminar with us:

As many of you know, my favorite colors are purple and green so TAC’s Angelee SWIC was the perfect choice for my heart!

I even used the coordinating ribbon!

I’m not big on flashy bling, but thought that the amber rhinestones in a autumn wheat pattern were a nice touch since I’m all about autumn! It’s from Basic Grey’s Bling It collection.

The stamps are from the special edition Seminar 2009 set

I used Palette Burnt Umber ink to keep the subdued feel going thinking black would be too stark.
Hope this inspires some of you to try dressing up some chipboard shapes for your cards or scrapbook pages!

It’s Blog hop time again! Once again Stacy is hostessing a fun blog hop featuring Father’s Day project ideas from our fantastically tallented Angel Company Demonstrators on Paper Wings! I’ve created 2 cards for this challenge. Please excuse the blurry photography! I made these at that weekend retreat down in RI a few weeks ago & they were created after cocktail hour! A glass of Merlot is all it takes! I’m a cheap date!

This first card is going to be for my Daddy (awwwww) and it features The Angel Company’s Some Bunny set and papers from the Penelope collection. I colored the image in with various Copic markers.

The second card will go to my Father in law, Chuck, and it features stamps from The Angel Company’s Artsy Owls and What a Hoot sets and papers from the Willoughby collection. The Owl image is colored in with Prismacolor pencils.
Images for both cards were stamped with Palette Burnt Umber ink.
Now I just need to go hunt up some 6×6 envelopes!
Please check out these other Angels handsome creations:

I’m now all caught up with my “Cards by Christmas”! It took me most of the afternoon, but I got the other 12 (6 each of 2 designs) cards done!

I really like the colors in this card! I used Pallete Reflection Blue and Iris inks to stamp the images from The Angel Company’s Christmas Circles and Ready Set Snow (retired) sets. The little trees are colored in with a Copic Spica marker in turquoise. Like how the Bazzill Bling paper comes out when embossed with the Cuttle Bug folders?

You can never really capture the beauty of an acetate card in a photograph.

I stamped this image from The Angel Company’s Holly Swirls set with a versamark pad and then embossed with gold embossing powder.
*Warning!* Acetate is very static-y! I of course couldn’t find my X-Static embossing buddy, so I rubbed over the piece of acetate with a dryer sheet to remove the static BEFORE stamping and adding the embossing powder. I kept a small, soft bristled paint brush near by to carefully remove any unwanted powder from around the image before heating. ALSO: you’ll want to keep that heat tool moving and not too close to the acetate or it’ll warp/melt/burn!!!

I stamped the card base with the large holly swirl image with Versamark ink. I then highlighted the leaves with shimmer chalks and added some sparkle with Christmas Red Stickles.
I’m so happy to have these done! Hopefully I won’t slack next month!

Some of you may remember a few months ago when I posted several Christmas cards that I posted as part of a “Cards by Christmas” club on Paper Wings. By doing a set number of cards per month I’ll have all my cards done by Christmas.
This is great in theory, but the past 2 months I totally slacked on this. I am still healing from my hand surgeries, but really could have done last months cards and the months before to make it up…but noooooooo.
*sigh*
I am now 18 cards behind (I pledged to do 6 cards a month) but I STAMPED TODAY, so I’m now only 12 cards behind! I totally CASEd this design, color scheme & all, from Melisa (this girl’s got MAD stampin’ skills!) Thanks Chick! Just look at it & you’ll see why!

I used The Angel Company’s Playful Parentheses and Sweet Goodies sets for the images. Stamped the parentheses and holly in Palette Chartruse ink and the Holiday Greetings square is embossed with red embossing powder. I colored in the flowers & berries and shadowed the images with Copic Markers (lipstick red and cream). I added dimension to the red colored elements with Crystal Laquer.
I hope to have at least another 6 cards done tomorrow! Stay tuned!
